Medical, Community & Aged Care Services
Within the Southern Midlands we are fortunate enough to have an array of Medical, Community and Aged Care Services available to the greater Southern Midlands Community.
These services include Doctors Surgeries, the Midlands Multipurpose Health Centre which provides 24 hour Accident and Emergency (outpatients), acute and high dependency care as well as Residential Aged Care and Family Care unit. The Centre also coordinates the delivery of a range of other community and visiting specialist services including the Home and Community Care Program, and other community groups such as Community Nursing, Child Health, Disability and Diabetic Education Services.
Other health and wellness services provided to the greater Southern Midlands community include, Primary Health Tasmania as well as Rural Alive and Well Tasmania.
