Community Development
The Community Development Program supports, assists and provides information and advice to community groups and organisations throughout Southern Midlands. Areas of involvement include:
facilitating and supporting community initiatives,developing partnerships with other organisations to improve opportunities for community participation and improved service delivery,improving access to information and resources through assistance with applications for grants,developing social policies to assist in achieving better outcomes for the community, and providing support to Council's Disability Access and Positive Ageing Advisory Committees to ensure Council's services and facilities are accessible and relevant to all people in the community.
